Lee Paige is the original “Only One.” He’s the DEA agent who said “I’m the only one in this room professional enough to handle this Glock pistol,” seconds before he shot himself in the leg. The video has been posted and reposted hundreds of times since 2004.
In April of 2010, Paige sued the DEA, claiming that the video was improperly released by the DEA and that doing so caused him to suffer “jokes, derision, ridicule, and disparaging comments” as well costing him the ability to work as an undercover DEA agent.
Fortunately, a judge tossed the suit last week, saying that Paige had not presented evidence as to the source of the video. Reason magazine has more.
