Organ transplants are an issue near and dear to me. My mother-in-law received a heart transplant that gave us ten more years with her, and we cherished that time.
The big issue with transplants has always been time. Most organs only last a few hours outside the body. But what if there were a way to keep an organ functioning while it was being transported?
There is, and they’re testing it here in the states.
